Hi there, welcome on my tiny webpage on the world wide web!

I’m Maura a small girl from southern Germany, who is very passionate about a plant-based diet, minimalism and a low impact / sustainable lifestyle and who loves to read as many books as possible.

I became so passionate about nutrition when I discovered how much of an impact something as simple as food can have. If you would have told me, that I love eating healthy and that a healthy diet is actually really delicious and consists not only of salads but also of chilli, pasta, porridge, waffles and so much more, I would have never believed you! But now I’m here, trying to show you what I have learned and take you with me on the journey to a more healthy and sustainable lifestyle!

Minimalism is also very important to me. At first, I thought I would never be able to call my self that: a “minimalist". But I changed many things, first and foremost my attitude to consuming. I learned that minimalism is not about how much you own, but about whether or not the things you own bring value to your life. Now, I can proudly say that my small apartment is full of things, that add value to my life and not just mindless clutter. This makes me feel so much calmer than before and helps me to master life’s challenges in some kind of a different way. I’d love to share some inspiration with you to help you as well to bring more value to your life and to make the things matter that you own!

Last but definitely not least, a sustainable, low impact lifestyle became increasingly important for me in the recent months. Reducing my waste, my environmental footprint is something I’m constantly working on. I’m by no means low or even zero waste. But I try my best to do whatever is possible for me right now. And I hope to show you that even tiny steps can have a huge impact and to take you with me on that journey of constantly learning new things about reducing your waste and living a low impact lifestyle!

Honestly, nothing of those changes in my life would have happened without social media. Without YouTube, Instagram and blogs. This is why I chose to create this blog. I don’t want to make money with it one day or anything like that. My goal is to inspire people and to empower them to make such powerful changes as I did that will forever transform their way of thinking and living. I want to be another voice for animals, for our own health and for this beautiful planet, where all living and breathing on. I want to be a voice of passion and compassion, of positivity and (self)love.

On a little side note: Some years ago, I had another blog called “The emotional life of books". As its name says, it was all about books. I don’t read as much as I did back then, but nevertheless, books and reading are still very important to me. That’s why I’ll also share with you some of my thoughts on books that I read.
